What did Christ say about glorifying God? When Christ was about to be betrayed he said, "Now is the Son of Man glorified and God is glorified in him. If God is glorified in him, God will glorify the Son in himself, and will glorify him at once (John 13:31-32)." So what does this mean? God's Mission is his glory. In this passage it states that God is glorified in Christ. So by glorifying Christ, God glorifies himself. By spreading the name of Christ on earth, we glorify God. When we glorify God we fulfill our purpose. We study about Christ and his work in order to understand the one who sent him. The more we learn about Christ the more we learn about God. Christ was more than just a good man in history. Christ is God.
In God's Mission, Christ role was to embody the Mission. Christ embodies the mission, by being the vehicle needed to bring man, who is created to praise God's glory, back into worshipping God. By sending Christ into the world to die for our sins, God makes the praise of his glory possible and actualized in us. If you want to lead someone to God, you lead them to Christ.
What did Christ say about glorifying God? Glorifying Christ is glorifying God. Glorifying God is God's Mission.

Scripture ReferencesJN 14:9 Jesus answered: "Don't you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, `Show us the Father'? [10] Don't you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you are not just my own. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work. [11] Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me
JN 17:1 After Jesus said this, he looked toward heaven and prayed:
"Father, the time has come. Glorify your Son, that your Son may glorify you. [2] For you granted him authority over all people that he might give eternal life to all those you have given him. [3] Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent. [4] I have brought you glory on earth by completing the work you gave me to do. [5] And now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world began.
