Dear Conrad -- I don't know if you can help me out with this or not, but your input would be greatly appreciated! My parents keep pushing me to get my brain thinking about college, but I have this feeling God is telling me to do something else with my life. whether it's being a missionary or youth pastor I have no clue. I pray about it constantly, but is there anything else I can be doing in the meantime? Thanks so much! -- Stephanie

To be an effective youth pastor or missionary, you still will have to go through some sort of training. It’s just like if you wanted to be an accountant, you have to go to college. If you want to be a youth pastor, you have to again, go to college, or receive some sort of valuable training.
We cannot skip the aspects of being taught, trained and equipped. Without them we would be very poor ministers. If you think you are being led into church related ministries, then you might want to look up Christian colleges. Or like some, myself for example, go to a normal college and get their spiritual training elsewhere.
But make sure you have an emphasis on being trained.
