Dear Conrad - In Job chapter 2 I think it says Satan "left the Lord's presence" that just kind of confused me... I mean like Satan is evil so how can he be in the Lord's presence just wondering – patriotspy
Dear Patriotspy,
I’ll set up the scene first… JOB 1:6 One day the angels came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan also came with them. [7] The LORD said to Satan, "Where have you come from?" Satan answered the LORD, "From roaming through the earth and going back and forth in it."
Being in the Lord's presence is not the same thing as being face to face with God. We are in God's presence right now, but it's just not full blast. If it were we’d be blown to bits.
This concept, though to a different extent, is comparable to what happens here in this passage.
He is standing "before" God, but in a limited way.
