Beastie Boys
'TO THE 5 BOROUGHS'
Confirmed for Summer '04 Release
Capitol will release Beastie Boys' 'To The 5 Borough's, the band's sixth album (and first produced entirely by the Boys themselves) this summer.
Recorded on and off over the last two years at Beastie Boys' own studio in downtown new York City, produced by the band and mixed by Supa Engineer Duro, 'To The 5 Boroughs' is the first proper Beastie Boys record since 1998's quadruple-platinum 'Hello Nasty'.
To The 5 Boroughs' release will be preceded by "Ch-Check It Out" debuting April 28 at radio and on iTunes. The "Ch-Check It Out" video was recently directed by longtime Beastie Boys collaborator Nathanial Hornblower ("Intergalactic," "Body Movin'," "So What'cha Want"), and features exclusive cameos from Lorne Greene and DeForest "Bones" Kelley.
Beastie Boys will be playing Japan's Summer Sonic Festival in Tokyo August 7 and 8. Full world tour plans to be announced shortly.
