I'm not known as being a big punk rock fan. For the most part, unless we're talking pre-'89, I'm not at all a fan of punk rock actually. And while Bullets and Octane's latest offering on RCA Records certainly won't sway me any time soon, I do have to give it credit for being not only an energetic album, but also a well produced and well written album.
From the opening track "Going Blind", B&O come out swinging with an aggressive brand of punk, metal, and rock that you can tell just from listening would, at the very least, get the crowd going in a live setting.
The other good thing B&O did here was to hire Helmet frontman Page Hamilton to turn the dials for their sophomore effort. The result is excellent production, without being 'too' produced.
Even someone who isn't a fan of punk has to admit that this album is if nothing else, aggressive and in-your-face. Props to them for that.
