Calibretto's drummer, Christopher, sent this to me. I think it's on their website too.
Is your favorite band breaking up?
There comes a time in every band's life when they must make a decision. For some, the question to be answered is "Should we each get our own separate tour bus, or should we all ride together?" For others it is "Should we do the Pepsi commercial, the Nike ad, or both?" And for still others -- like Calibretto -- the question set before them is "Does anyone even like this crap?"
Kids, Calibretto is at that point. And we may (or may not) have made a decision.
This summer will be Calibretto's last tour ever. Or maybe it won't. You see, we can do that. Because we're the band. We have that power. Feel it. Feel the power.
This summer, the summer of 2004, will (or perhaps will not) mark the 6th (and maybe final) year in the life of Calibretto. The band that started in Christopher's bedroom on June 30th, 1998, will be hitting the road, traveling all across this great big country of ours, playin' shows and breakin' hearts. And they'll be bringing some of their best friends along with them. This is it, kids. This is where the story comes to its close. Maybe. This could (or could not) be the last time you will ever see Calibretto live, onstage and in costume. When the summer ends, so too does Calibretto (possibly).
Is this the end? Is Calibretto really calling it quits? Is this really The Last Laugh?
Come to the show and find out.
