Denison Witmer's first album for The Militia Group,
Are You a Dreamer will be released on June 20.

The album will feature many a talented man and woman including Sufjan Stevens, James McAllister, Don and Karen Perris, Shara Worden and a few more. Witmer said on
TMG's official website that the album was primarily influenced by a book of poetry by Li Young-Lee.
"I have been carrying his book with me pretty much everywhere I've been going for the last few years. Thinking back, Lee's book is most likely what first put the idea of making a record about dreaming into my head. Other books, like "On Dreams" by Sigmund Freud helped me form better opinions on what dreams might mean. Freud's book helped shape the lyrics to songs like
Castle and Cathedral.
Witmer has been something of a darling in the limited world of Philadelphia indie but the new album and a strong indie label means a US and Canadian tour with label mates Copeland and Rainer Maria is now possible for Witmer.
