09 Say Anything—Spider Song
10 Sunday Driver—Forever Again
Doghouse 100 starts off strong with the All-American Rejects’ song—an acoustic song with electric guitars breaking in later on in the song. The Break’s track totally rocks, but then dies due to no vocal variety. The tracks by Limbeck, Say Anything, and River City High are mediocre—not bad, but nothing special. Celebrity’s track, a darker alternative rock song is enjoyable.
Tracks 5 and 6 are downright bad. Gameface’s track has vocal pitch problems from the beginning note and throughout the song, which ruined the entire song for me. The worst track goes to The Honorary Title’s acoustic song ‘Snow Day’. From the vocals to the clichéd lyrics, this song is horrible and seems to drag on endlessly.
But, all was not lost in this comp. Feable Weiner’s poppy track is fantastic—great harmonies throughout, and extremely catchy. Sunday Driver’s track was my favorite on the comp. It’s straightforward alternative rock with a very memorable melody. These two songs along with tracks one and three totally made this comp worthy getting, however tracks 5 and 6 are so bad, it brings down the grade to:
