Indie Vision Music 2000-2004

Is this the end? In recent weeks I have dropped some hints and told some close friends about my intentions with this label and the site in general. The story is long and I would like to take time to thank everyone that has offered a hand along the way. The Pennylane and Joey's Loss albums will be the last releases I put out under the Indie Vision Music name. Our final and parting words. Some of you might have even sensed it with the recent compilation I put out and honestly that is why I put so much effort into it. There are many many more people I would like to thank that weren't included in the compilation so in future installments of this newsletter I'll drop names. There is no drama or controversy for hanging up the hat. I want to simply just devote more time and energy to my wife and child. Indie
Vision Music has always been a second job to me and recently this job has become
just too overwhelming to handle. I love this site and running Indie Vision Music over the past 4 years. I wouldnt trade the experience and friendships that I have been lucky enough to gain. I appreciate so many of you and the small conversations we have shared over the years. The time has just come where I have become simply, burnt out. "Exhausted" is an understatement. I have run this site/company entired solo since day one, including all shipping, packaging, store design, etc etc. 4 years is a long time to hang on for "fun", but it has always been worth it to me. but... When a hobby takes over life and a potentially sucessful job, it is time to step back. That is my situation and unfortunately only one job puts food on the table.
I have been involved in the music industry one way or another since 1995 and I've seen and been a witness to alot of things. Not as much as some but more so than others. Indie Vision Music will stay up for quite a while. We will continue to promote and support the bands we have until about the fall. At that point, the store will keep going until I have sold out of almost every copy of our releases. Once that becomes reality, the site will then transform into some sort of web related music zine/promotions site for independent Christian Bands. There are alot of topics that my self and some close friends would like to post about but havent been given the correct forum to do so...

Later in the year with some help, Indie Vision will become just that forum to post news, Opinion Pieces, Mp3s and more. Something fun, entertaining, and less time consuming personally. It'll make more sense in future emails. I'll only be posting every once in a while when I get a free minute so I wont be tied up in another site. Basically, I am just so appreciative to EVERY single relationship I have been able to develop over the past 4 years through this site and beyond.

All of the labels, bands, zines, friends, supporters, naysayers, critics, etc. I love all of you. Its been a real pleasure and experience. I hope my site has in some very small way inspired people or shared an important reality about the love of Jesus and the freedom that comes from a relationship with him. That is all I care about as a company and personally as a believer. That as Christians we can all share love with people of all backgrounds. What use are Christians if they cant share and encourage? If they cant toss their attitudes and pride behind them and accept with open arms? Greed is a killer and in the music industry it is a sickening disease that is destroying the lives of many. We'll save the rest for the zine.

This is getting a little drawn out and there will be future
newsletters
still so please stay tuned. Remember we still have TWO MORE albums
coming
out this next month.

Love you all,

Brandon
