The first words that come to me when I finally listened to this album all the way through was "A Wilhelm Scream meets Rise Against". I still believe that but it lacks the special thing that each of those bands have. Don't get me wrong, No Trigger is good but they just don't have the THING that make those other two bands great. They lack the harmony and complexity of A Wilhelm Scream and they lack the aggressive but still subtle sound of Rise Against. It is great to hear a punk band actually play punk and not watered down crap. It's still quite good but I don't think it will make a huge impact on my own musical world. Maybe they just need to keep growing. It's only their second release so expect good things coming soon (hopefully). Nitro records is going in a great direction lately (A Wilhelm Scream, Crime In Stereo, No Trigger) and I hope that it continues. *high five*.
Overall, the production is good, not great. The sound...well I already covered that. The lyrics have substance that reach out to community and social issues to personal issues so that is a huge plus. The band overall has great potential. This is an album for all the Strike Anywhere, A Wilhelm Scream and Rise Against fans out there.
