When the world of hardcore and metal meet each other, it's usually a bad thing. It's bad because the whole metal aspect takes over and leaves the hardcore mindset and sound on the back burner. This is not the case with this Belgium group. They have done a pretty decent job with mixing the two sounds and making it a pretty even mix at that. It's more or less Integrity meets The Cro-Mags and then add the whole satanic feel to it all and you have RISE AND FALL. The sound is extremely brutal but you won't find very many mosh friendly part or guitar hero action either. Rise And Fall seems to be in the minority of metal core bands that I could find myself listening to and enjoying a little. Pretty solid production and the whole "we like Satan" aspect is pretty well laid out in the art work. Overall it's a pretty solid album.
