Former Saves the Day bassist, Sean McGrath, passed away yesterday after a long battle against cancer in his digestive tract. Sean was diagnosed with cancer in 2002, and went through intense chemotherapy in the months that followed. He was 28 years old.
Sean played bass on Saves the Day's debut, Can't Slow Down, and left in the planning stages of Through Being Cool. He played with various other bands including: Hands Tied, Mouthpiece, and the Alps. Sean then took a job behind the scenes at a major music entertainment company, before he was diagnosed with cancer. He will be missed.
