Capitol recording group Supergrass will honor their first decade of high-spirited rock ‘n’ roll with a series of American concert dates.  The six-city U.S. tour coincides with the release of “Supergrass Is 10: The Best Of 94-04,” a 21-track retrospective of their career to date.  The collection – which will also include a limited edition live CD with the first pressing – arrives in stores on September 28th.  The limited edition bonus CD will be made available free to people who purchase all tracks of “Supergrass Is 10…” on Itunes.

The pioneering Britpop combo – Gaz Coombes, Mick Quinn, Danny Goffey, and Rob Coombes – will arrive on these shores on September 28th, kicking off the trek at the Theatre of Living Arts in Philadelphia.  Other cities on the Supergrass itinerary include Washington DC, Boston, New York, San Francisco, and Los Angeles.

In other ‘Grass news, the band is booked to perform live on Friday, October 1st on NBC’s Late Night with Conan O’Brien.  Following the tour, Supergrass will return home to England to begin recording of the first all-new album of their second decade, due sometime in 2005.

“Supergrass Is 10: The Best Of 94-04” is jam-packed with effervescent pop-rockin’ classics, culled from the band’s four full-length collections.  Among the favorites included are “Caught By The Fuzz” and “Alright” (from their 1995 debut album, “I Should Coco”), “Richard III” and “Sun Hits The Sky” (from 1997’s “In It For The Money”), “Pumping On Your Stereo” and “Moving” (from their 1999 self-titled album) and “Seen The Light” and “Grace” (from 2002’s “Life On Other Planets”).  Also included are two new landmark ditties, “Kiss Of Life” and “Bullet.”
