I don’t know how old the members of Switchblade are, but I am guessing they are still in high school, or maybe 26 year olds who wish they were still in high school. This three-piece hails from Sweden, and I don’t know how the record made it over here. The six tracks are riff-heavy and go nowhere. The songs have no vocals except for a couple of screams that play quietly in the background of one track, which is fine except for the fact that this group has no business being an instrumental band. The album just sounds like an extended guitar solo ripped out of the middle of a crappy hard-rock/metal band. They build up and go nowhere. Just when you have hope of something interesting coming up, they back off. What ever these guys are going for they should try another direction.
