From the start, this is your run-of-the-mill Victory Records metalcore release. Nothing new here, just a bunch of kids throwing down what is becoming your typical Victory Records "I'll-smash-your-face-in-if-you-cross-me" testosterone rock. I've heard a hundred bands do it better.
The vocals sound like they fall somewhere between a bad Zao impression, and a bad Integrity impression. They are grating at best. Musically, there is absolutely nothing neither new nor original about these songs. There are some glimpses of technical aspects to the guitar work, but for my money As I Lay Dying, or even Misery Signals does it better, and with more originality.
While I'm sure 15 year old tough-guy wannabe's in their oversized Champion sweatshirts will LOVE this band, anyone who's been in or around the scene for more than 5 years will see right through this cd.
