Mediocre power pop. Yeah, that's basically it.

After achieving greatness with the Refused and then some marginal success with The (International) Noise Conspiracy, Dennis Lyxzén decided to do pursue his own solo project, The Lost Patrol. Two albums later, he decided to make that solo project into a real band, The Lost Patrol Band. Originally The Lost Patrol was a politically motivated folk outfit, but since becoming a band it has become love sick power pop schlock. Attempts at synth based new wave appear as well, but are as derivative as the rest of the album.
The album really doesn’t have any stand out tracks, as they all blend into each other. If one takes each song by itself, each song would be good enough, but they are all so alike that the album just sounds like the same track played over and over. The choruses are typically a bit catchy, and the riffs are simple, with cliché lyrics. If this excites you, or you’re a big fan of Dennis Lyxzén’s voice, then by all means, purchase it, but you’d be most likely wasting your money.
