This is pretty cool news from The Record Machine. State Bird was Spin.com's band of the day yesterday. Oh, and their new EP is available for pre-order.  State Bird is from Ohio, and Ohio's state bird is the cardinal. But they couldn't be called The Cardinals, because according to the internets, that name belongs to Ryan Adams's backing band. Which is not to be confused with Bryan Adams. He's from Canada and they don't have state birds because they don't have states - or birds.
