In efforts to make Decapolis a better place, I have decided to go with a different hosting company.  This move will allow Decapolis to grow without restriction. 

 

However, I do want to warn you that there will be broken links and general goofiness over the next week.  If you want to know the techno-babble reason why, here it is…

 

Let's say you are this dude named Decapolis and you want to move out of your little house in New Jersey to a house in Pennsylvania.  You have to tell the post office that you are moving.  But all your friends don't know about the move.  So when they try to visit some go to your old house and some to the new house. 

 

That's kinda what happens on the internet.  I am changing the internet address where Decapolis lives.  Some people will try to visit Decapolis and if certain magical boxes that control the internet haven't received the news that Decapolis has moved yet, they will end up at the old house. 

 

So I am putting one of those Star Trek transporters at the old house to beam them to the new address.  But those people will see a weird internet address and not "Decapolis.com" on the side of the house (in your browser).  If this happens, don't worry.  You are still at Decapolis' new house.  The sign just hasn't been put up yet. 

 

I hope that wasn't too technical for you.  I don't understand it either.  Someone had to use hand puppets to explain it to me.
